Do you know how many different types of yarn there are in just one tiny piece of filter cloth?

Yarn is a continuous filament composed of textile fibers, possessing certain mechanical properties, fineness, and softness. Filter cloth is woven from yarn. There are two types of yarn: one consists of long filaments that have undergone no processing at all or have been subjected only to processes such as combining, combining and twisting, and texturing; the other type is made from short fibers that have undergone various forms of processing.

By yarn structure and appearance:

1) Short fibers

a. Single yarn, produced by processing short fibers into warp yarns;

b. Ply yarn. Made by twisting together two or more single yarns;

c. Bulked yarn, made by blending acrylic fibers with low-shrinkage and high-shrinkage properties in a specific ratio;

d. Ply yarn. A yarn formed by twisting together two or more single yarns of different fibers or colors.

2) Long fibers

a. Single yarn: a yarn composed of a single filament fiber;

b. Multifilament. Composed of two or more individual filaments twisted together;

c. Twisting. The filament yarn is formed by twisting multiple filaments together;

d. Composite twisted yarn. Twisted yarn is formed by combining and twisting one or more times to create a composite twisted yarn;

e. Mixed-fiber filaments. Made by blending two or more types of filament fibers.
